Labor Support

The benefit of having a doula has been well documented as a way to decrease interventions and reduce the overall cost of birth. A doula provides physical, emotional and informational support to mothers, their partners and their family before, during and immediately following the birth of their baby. She does not replace your care provider OR your partner. A doula adds another layer of care focused on the non-medical aspects of care. Aimee uses her knowledge and experience to gently guide a woman through the process of birth and set the tone for her to draw upon her own inner strength to birth instinctively. During  the prenatal period you will spend time discussing options, comfort measures, breastfeeding, parenting and much more.
