Aimee Patke-Kubes CD, CLC, PES
Aimee's path as a doula began to emerge after her three unique birth experiences. She recognized the positive impact of experienced, individualized labor support and she wanted to provide the same loving care to others.
She began to study birth and provided labor support to friends who supported her passion. In 2012, Aimee took a position as a labor support and postpartum doula with a Chicagoland agency. She became a certified doula and perinatal educator through MMCI and furthered her education by attending two additional doula trainings through DONA and ToLabor. In addition, Aimee is
a Certified Lactation Counselor which allows her to expertly support breastfeeding families.
Aimee continues to grow as a professional by attending advance doula trainings and she is committed to staying current with on trends in maternity care. She has attended over 160 births in a wide variety of settings which enables her to support families wherever they choose to give birth; be it home, birth center or hospital.
Aimee's background in Early Childhood Education and social work ties in perfectly with her work as a postpartum doula. She has an affinity for infants and is completely fascinated with newborn behavior, development and attachment. She thoroughly enjoy sharing knowledge and experience with families as they learn about their newborn and gain confidence in their parenting. She calls on her years of professional and personal experience as she provides gentle guidance to each family she works with.
